Primary Responsibilities

As Bibliographic/Administrative Assistant, Penelope is responsible for handling all reproduction requests, graduate carrel assignments, collection development support, general office support, including events and publicity, and shares with other LAL staff retrieving special collections for consultation. As the LAL Administrative and Bibliographic Assistant, Penelope is responsible for administrative, special events and publicity assistance, reproduction and digitization, as well as bibliographic support.

About Penelope Ojeda

Penelope Ojeda joined the staff of The Latin American Library in October 2019 as Bibliographic/Administrative Assistant. Penelope received a B.A. in Art History from the University of Washington and earned an M.Phil. in Art History from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY), where she specialized in Latin American Art.  Her research focus is Guatemalan art (from the pre-Hispanic period until the present).  Most recently, Penelope served as Learning Resource Technician at the Hillsborough Community College Library in Tampa, Florida, where she worked since 2018.
