Introduction
The Latin American Library is located on the 4th floor of the Howard-Tilton Memorial Library. Neither the library's structure nor any part of its collections suffered any damage during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Before the storm, many reels of microfilm relating to Latin America were stored in the basement of the main library building. This basement flooded as a result of the storm, and a portion of the microfilm collection was damaged or lost. Approximately 85% of the microfilm was recovered and restored. We offer the following tools to assist researchers in identifying the microfilm holdings of the Latin American Library.
| Tulane University Libraries Catalog |
Many of the Latin American Library's holdings of microfilm can be identified by searching the Libraries Catalog. Many titles are undergoing additional processing and cataloging and, therefore, may not be immediately available. To confirm availability, please contact Jeannette Hunter at hunter@tulane.edu or (504) 865-5683.
