Collection Guide

Prepared by Ruth Olivera, October 1987.

The collection consists of materials -- newsletters, bulletins and press releases -- belonging to the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador in New Orleans, Louisiana, before closing its office. Most of it was distributed by left-wing or revolutionary organizations in Central America.

Folders 2 - 5
Newsletters, bulletins and press releases of the FMLN FDR (Frente Farabundo Marti para la Liberación Nacional; Frente Democrático Revolucionario) in English and Spanish, published in El Salvador, in opposition to United States policy in El Salvador. 1982 - 1985. 13 pieces.

Folder 6
Newsletters of FAR (Fuerzas Armadas Rebeldes), in Spanish, which support revolution in Guatemala. 1981 - 1982. 6 pieces.
