Ronald Baumann's Collection of Cakchiquel Folk Dances
(Collection 49(12))

In the summer of 1985, Ronald Baumann, a Tulane student from Belgium, collected manuscripts on nine folk dances in Guatemala. Xerox copies of these manuscripts comprise the collection. The dances include Animales, Conquista de Almalonga, Diablos, Masat, Moros y Cristianos, Napoleón, Norteños, Siete Virtudes and Torito. The following descriptions of the dances were provided by Professor Munro S. Edmonson, based on information from Baumann.
