The Program Coordinator manages the membership database, prepares the financial report, documentation for SALALM Annual Conference, and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Secretariat office.
About Carol Anderson-Avila
Carol Anderson Avila has been the Program Coordinator for the SALALM Secretariat (Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials) since April 2006. She received her Associate Degree in Travel and Tourism Management from Phillips Junior College in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1988. She has worked in sales for Taca and Aviateca Airlines, serving as liaison and translator between the airlines and US Customs and Immigration Authorities. She has also worked as office manager for a commercial distributing company here in town. More recently, for many years she has worked for the Consulate General of Honduras in New Orleans in various capacities, including that of Press Attaché, and as coordinator of the Legal Department.
