Responsibilities
Rachel Robinson is the newest member of the staff at the Latin American Library. Rachel received a Bachelor’s Degree in Latin American Studies from Rhodes College in 2011. While at Rhodes, she volunteered with HOLA (Hispanic Organization for Latino Advancement) to work with Sábado Gigante, an after school and Saturday morning program for schoolchildren in Memphis. In 2010, she studied for six months at FLACSO (Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales) and at the Universidad Católica in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her research interests include immigration to Argentina and migrations within Latin America.
At the LAL Rachel is responsible for assisting in collection development, reproduction services for our rare materials, and the day-to-day operations of the office.
